Innovation Lab

Innovation Lab | Marlijn Helder

The aim is to have initiatives and products developed by students become an example and inspiration to the academic community.

Project leader Marlijn Helder will give an insight in the Innovation Lab (work title). Opening in August 2018 at Sports&Culture as one the spaces at S&C’s newly built Playground, the Innovation Lab will be the place to design, create, invent, realize and innovate. The aim is to have initiatives and products developed by students become an example and inspiration to the academic community. And with that, hold a leading place for innovation and creation within the artistic disciplines on the Living Campus. From the opening onward the Innovation Lab will be a catalyst and a sheet anchor for innovation in digitalization, robotization, technology and other new techniques within the artistic and crafts disciplines.

360⁰ Factory
One of the first courses in September at the Innovation Lab is specially developed in collaboration with the 360⁰ Factory. Student participants develop a futuristic resume of themselves, guided by and in collaboration with the members of the 360⁰ Factory. Instead of a standard PDF normally send to a potential employer, participants will build a virtual resume by means of 360⁰ photography and stitching software.

The build includes a green screen image of yourself and active links to information interesting for potential employers through text, video, pictures, music etc. The software to make these active buttons possible is developed by the 360⁰ Factory. When the project is finished potential employers can explore your resume as a virtual tour.
